On April 28, the unions of the AFL-CIO observe Workers Memorial Day to remember those who have suffered and died on the job and to renew the fight for safe jobs. The Passing of Brother Fran Gentile

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Francis E. Gentile, Chief Lineman (retired) and past Treasurer for IBEW Local #457. Fran served as Treasurer for over 25 years and was a solid UNION man. As solid as they come. He served under 3 different Business Managers which proves what a trusted individual Fran was, not only by his fellow officers, but by the members of #457. Condolences to the Gentile Family and all who were fortunate enough to call Fran, "Friend".
