Middletown and Willimantic Closures- contact your State Reps

While we have requested a meeting on the Middletown and Willimantic closures, we feel all the local politicians need to know what this action will mean for their communities.  We have already reached out to them but the message of the potential impact is stronger if it comes from the workforce.  Listed below are contacts of various politicians. Send them a message as to why you feel this move is not in the best interest of the customer.

Blue & Green Combo Meetings Cancelled

As you may be aware, there have been meetings between our Local, 420, and the Company to discuss combining the Blue & Green Books. The reason this is occurring is, during negotiations, in order to reduce the forced on-call Troubleshooter rotation, a schedule was created that worked for us, provided we agreed to meet and discuss the Company’s needs going forward.

Meter Service Update

At the last CL&P unit meeting it was brought to our attention that there is a feeling in Meter Service that the Union is meeting with the Company without any Meter Service representation.  Not true.  Fact: there was a much anticipated meeting on 6/12/13 where the Company was going to reveal their plan for Meter Service going forward.  Well, it didn’t go well for the Company that day because they had not met with the Unions and their plan violated the contracts in several areas.
