Happy Holidays!

On behalf of everyone here at the office we would like to wish all our members and their families a safe and happy holiday. it's been a very trying year and there's plenty of work to be done well into the new year and beyond. That being said when you take a look around at the world and see all the tragedies and atrocities including those here at home we should appreciate what we have, after all we've earned it. We also must never forget the sacrifice of our men and woman in the service it's because of them that we can live as we do. Merry Christmas!

Here is an update on Blue/ Green Combo & Trouble Work: Union Reps met with the Company on November 12th and gave the Company a draft copy of what a Blue/ Green combined contract would look like.  They are presently reviewing it and we will set up another meeting to discuss.

Bone Marrow Drive For Chris Lumbra!

Please consider attending Chris Lumbra's Bone Marrow Drive on November 3, 2015 at Edge Fitness in Meriden. Chris was recently diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Burkitts Lymphoma. He is the son of Bob Leach, who is a member and Steward of IBEW Local 457. The more people are tested to see if they are a match, the better the chances of Chris getting a stem cell transplant!

Also, please share this post to your page. The more people who see it, the better! Thank you in advance!

Update on Blue/ Green Combo & Taking Trouble Work Back

For those of you that have been attending the CL&P Unit meetings you are aware that we are trying to reach an agreement with the Company to get our people back in the trouble trucks.  To date the Company has only been willing to start this in a few districts and we feel that it would be unfair to exclude one for another.  Our commitment is to do it in all districts.
